The confidence Ron developed at an early age became a resourceful talent that has helped him throughout all aspects of his career. Prior to working at John Robert Powers, Mr. Patterson started off as a janitor at the department store, J.C. Penny. Bosses soon took notice of his potential and dedication and Ron found himself climbing the corporate ladder as lead Merchandiser, Buyer, and eventually the head of Public Relations for J.C. Penny. Despite his rise in the ranks, Ron was left unfulfilled and sensed something more he could do with his life. Ron’s determination, drive, and ambition led him to buy the entire John Robert Powers franchise from the granddaughter of Mr. Powers. Recognizing the changing needs of today’s youth, Ron Patterson decided to reformat JRP which was once only an agency in New York for woman who wanted to model, into what it is today, a full fledged school system internationally recognized with locations throughout the United States, Europe and Asia.
